This classic dip is always a hit and requires no cooking!

  • Serves: 8-10

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (16 ounces each) refried beans
  • 1 package (1.25 ounces) taco seasoning mix
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package (1 ounce) ranch dressing mix
  • 4 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 large tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cans (2.25 ounces each) sliced black olives, drained
  • 8 ounces (2 cups) shredded cheddar or Mexican-style cheese
  • 2 large avocados, mashed (or 1 cup guacamole)
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Bottom Layer: In a bowl, mix the refried beans and taco seasoning. Spread evenly on the bottom of a large, shallow serving dish.
  2. Second Layer (Guacamole): Spread the mashed avocado/guacamole over the bean layer.
  3. Third Layer (Sour Cream): In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing mix. Spread this mixture over the guacamole layer.
  4. Remaining Layers: Top with the remaining ingredients in this order: shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, and black olives.
  5. Serve: Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving with tortilla chips.
